Permanent Magnet Shaker
A permanent magnet vibration shaker is a structure with a fixed, powerful permanent magnet at its core. Surrounding this magnet, you have a coil of wire that can move or vibrate. When an electrical current flows through the coil, it generates a magnetic field that interacts with the permanent magnet, causing the coil (and anything attached to it) to vibrate.
Permanent magnet shakers designed for smaller-scale applications, such as laboratory testing, CUBESAT or sensor calibration. Force range: 10N to 440N (2 to 100 lb-f).

Modal Shaker
A modal vibration shaker is a specialized type of vibration testing equipment designed for conducting modal analysis on mechanical structures and components. The mechanics of operation are similar to a permanent magnet shaker.
Modal vibration shakers (MS) excite the structure under test by a stinger. Force is transferred from the shaker to the structure via this stinger. Modal vibration shakers are used for larger structures.
Modal analysis is a technique used to study the dynamic behavior of structures, such as buildings, bridges, aerospace components, and mechanical systems, by identifying their natural frequencies, mode shapes, and damping characteristics. Force range: 20N to 440N (4 to 100 lb-f).
Inertial Shaker
The key component of an inertial vibration shaker is an inertia mass, typically a heavy steel or aluminum block. This mass is suspended within the shaker system and is free to move horizontally along a guided path.
An inertial shaker is equipped with a linear actuator, which is a device capable of rapidly moving the inertia mass back and forth along its guided path.
The test specimen or structure that requires vibration testing is connected to the inertia mass. This connection can be achieved through various means, such as a mounting plate or fixtures. Force range: 5N to 40N (1 to 9 lb-f).
