Description

The lightweight Model A/31 triaxial accelerometer for vibration testing features three orthogonally mounted Konic Shear® sensing elements. Each multi-sensor element provides sensitivity of 7pC/g, mounted securely within a hard-anodized aluminum housing with welded inserts. Individual electrical insulation of inserts prevents ground loop interference. The transducer’s robust construction reduces strain-induced measurement errors. Single-axis sensors can misrepresent dynamic structural responses due to directional sensitivity. This multi-sensor triaxial transducer accurately captures vibration and shock from all three axes simultaneously. Orthogonal three-axis measurements ensure precise computation of vibration magnitude and direction. The Konic Shear design effectively suppresses d33 component responses, greatly minimizing cross-axis errors. Reliable three-axis measurement integrity makes this sensor ideal for critical testing applications.
