Inertial Vibration Shakers

Shaker Systems from DynaLabs
The core of a Dynalabs inertial vibration shaker is a precision-engineered inertial mass, typically made from a dense metal to provide the required reaction force. This mass is suspended within the vibration shaker housing and guided along a vertical or horizontal axis using low-friction linear bearings to ensure accurate and repeatable motion.
A built-in linear actuator drives the mass back and forth along this guided path, producing a controlled dynamic force. This force is transferred directly to the structure under test.
Dynalabs inertial vibration shakers are designed to be mounted directly onto the test article—no external support base is required. The test structure is coupled to the moving mass through a rigid mounting interface or fixture, allowing vibration energy to be applied efficiently. This configuration is especially useful for testing large, vertical, or difficult-to-mount structures, both in the lab and in the field.
